Q: AWPTA is not
unique! I have read on PC Magazine that
products like TCP View Pro, are able to show
the application that is using a given port!?
A: Sorry, PC Magazine is not the genre of
publications we allocate time to read...
AWPTA is the only software in the World that
captures data sent and received since boot
time. TCPView Pro does not
capture/trap packets
and,
of course, does not
display packet data. Also, you may find
programs that claim packet capture
capabilities relating them to applications.
Test all of them and conclude that only AWPTA
performs exactly as advertised. |

Q: How stable is AWPTA?
A: With
release 2.3 and above we are sure that the latest
minor nuisances have been eradicated and everyone is
able to run AWPTA without any problem. Some people
keep it running permanently month after month, because
AWPTA does not cause any noticeable overhead.
Q: How do I uninstall
AWPTA?
A: An
Uninstall link is provided in the Start menu program
group. Do not uninstall AWPTA by deleting the
folder where it is installed! To upgrade to a new
release, it is highly recommended to uninstall first
any previous release and reboot.
Q: Is AWPTA compatible
with Zone Alarm and other firewall programs?
A:
Currently, we are not aware of any firewall software
incompatible with AWPTA. |
